The building designed by architect Bohumil Hübsmann, where Bio Svět (The World Cinema) probably started to operate in 1919, forms the corner of the U Pekáren and Dolnoměcholupská streets. As the U Pekáren Residential House it is is still associated with film-making. There are film studios in the neighbourhood and the modern shopping and entertainment centre VIVO! Hostivař. You can easily pop in from the U Pekáren Residential House for movie experiences, but also for good food or shopping. The varied conveniences of the city are complemented by the nearby Hostivař Nature Park with the Hostivař Dam.

Hostivař boasts a fully-featured transport infrastructure, with train, bus and tram connections to the metro stations Depo Hostivař and Chodov. Connections with the centre are a few minutes walk away. You can use the Prague-Hostivař train station, the U Továren bus station, the tram and bus stop Nádraží Hostivař. The entrance to the Průmyslova Street, one of the main road routes of Prague, is practically around the corner.
